Danika Dinsmore
Danika is a writer, film-maker and educator.
She has an MFA in Writing and Poetics from Naropa University and an advanced certificate in screenwriting from the University of Washington.

Her work has been widely published in North America, and her own publications include four books of poetry and a spokenword CD. She has written six feature screenplays and several short scripts, four of which have been produced and one of which she directed.

In 2004, she also directed a children’s music video for Vancouver musician Joe McDonald. Her awards include a grant from the King County Arts Commission to develop a curriculum guide for teaching poetry, the 1999 Washington Poets Association Award for Performance Poetry and the “Best Fresh Voice” screenwriting award at the 2003 Female Eye Film Festival.

She serves on the board of directors of Women in Film and Video Vancouver and teaches at Vancouver Film School and Capilano College.

Erin Berringer
Erin began her career in 1990 where she worked at the Rogers Cable Studios in Richmond, B.C. She researched, wrote, hosted, filmed, edited and later produced several programs for the station, including “A Cheapskates Guide to a Good Time”.

She spent five years honing her skills, during which time she began her studies in the Journalism Program at B.C.I.T. In 1992, Erin worked at BCTV as an Assistant to Linden Soles where she assisted in copywriting and pre-production research.

1993 brought work at LG73 writing for the Green Report, and work at z95.3. In 2001 she began writing for magazines, and co-published Muse Magazine for women in the Fraser Valley. She was hired by a large realty firm in 2003, where she branded entire buildings and condo projects located across Canada.

Erin is currently busy with her new role as Founder of Newport Business Branding.
